Renovation of Anastasia Giulia’s beauty spa, Elysium

About the renovation: Anastasia wanted her Skin & Brow Boutique to look different from the average beauty spa. She wanted to create a space that was cosy, timeless, private, and utterly gorgeous.

Here’s what Anastasia had to say about the renovation:

When did you do the renovation?  We renovated In September 2020.

What was the aim of the renovation? I wanted to create a space that was cosy, timeless, private, and utterly gorgeous. A place that I would want to visit. I wanted it to feel like you were in a gorgeous space or my home. I didn’t want it to feel like a typical ‘beauty salon’, I wanted it to feel like a chic sanctuary.

How did you meet Javier? Through my husband. We’re all friends.

What rooms were renovated? A brand new salon was built.

How long did the renovation take?  Approx 8 weeks.

What were your expectations re the joinery? I wanted the joinery to be timeless and minimal, but also a standout out to compliment all of the natural stone that was used.

Favourite joinery in the salon - and why? I absolutely love the curved nook we created for the retail space in the salon. It has the most gorgeous travertine stone inside and looks stunning. My husband’s company  Sydney Tile Group did all of the stone throughout the salon. I also adore the treatment rooms. We choose an oak finish to the joinery coupled with brass handles. The Norwegian Rose marble splashbacks and arched mirrors really set it off. It’s absolutely stunning.

Would you recommend Javier and i space? Yes absolutely. Javier is great to work with and really understood my vision of what I wanted to create. I just adore my new salon space.
