About the renovation: Ziona wanted to build a home that could be used by our whole family to gather together and make memories. She opens up her home on airbnb so other families can do the same.

Here’s what Ziona had to say about the renovation:

When did you do the renovation?  We built our home - The Chalet, Catherine Hill Bay in 2018. We then did a small renovation on our home in Maroubra in 2020.

What was the aim of the renovation? To build a home that could be used by our whole family to gather together and make memories. We have now opened our doors to other families so that they can do the same. In Maroubra, the aim was to open up the space and increase our storage.

When did you meet Javier? We met in 2016 when our sons started school together.

What rooms were renovated? Our whole home in CHB. In Maroubra - Living, kitchen, dining, laundry and bathroom.

How long did the renovation take?  12 months - CHB and 3 months in Maroubra.

What were your expectations re the joinery? High quality, functionality and storage solutions.

Favourite joinery in the house - and why? Kitchen in both. They say the kitchen is the heart of the home and I truly believe this with our beautiful kitchens designed by Javier.

Unexpected advantages of the new joinery? Javier holds a customer-centric approach and goes above and beyond. My house has never looked so good and clean with the amount of storage provided by our joinery.

Would you recommend Javier and i space? Without a doubt, yes! Javier’s joinery skills are next level. No job is too hard, no idea too bold. I cannot wait for our next project together - La Casa Calanni. The renovation of my grandparents home which has been in our family for 50 years!
