my i space: Dave & Venessa
Complete home renovation in Cronulla
About the project: Dave and Venessa did a complete knockdown and rebuild to create their forever home.
Here’s what Dave and Venessa had to say about the renovation:
When did you do the renovation? We started the renovation in mid-February 2020
What was the aim of the renovation? We wanted to create a modern and low maintenance home that allows us to entertain and enjoy an environment that is functional but with luxurious finishes.
How did you meet Javier? Javier was highly recommended to us by our Interior Designer, Athalie (Interiors by Thalie).
What rooms were renovated? We only kept a few external walls, so it was almost a complete knockdown and rebuild.
How long did the renovation take? About 8 months. The build began in mid-February, and we finished mid-October 2020.
What were your expectations re the joinery? Both our Architect and Interior Designer spent a lot of time and energy in the designing process so we wanted a finish that would reflect their hard work and our high expectations. Javier was absolutely the joiner for the job. His attention to detail ensured the finished product exceeded our expectations.
Favourite joinery in the house - and why? The kitchen. The design and functionality of this area is superb. When Javier was on site for a measure up, he suggested ways to ensure we had more usable space. The joinery in the kitchen has been finished to such a high standard. It is so aesthetically pleasing and functional that it really has become the heart of our home.
Unexpected advantages of the new joinery? We love the amount of storage! This has allowed us to create an environment that is streamlined, low maintenance, and free of clutter.
Would you recommend Javier and i space? Absolutely! Javier is an absolute perfectionist who ensured the process was smooth from beginning to end. He truly values customer service and is extremely professional. We would highly recommend Javier and the i space team to anyone.
