What was the renovation brief? To transform an empty concrete retail space into a functioning accountancy practice accommodating nine staff, whilst aligning the fit-out aesthetics with the new company brand.
When did you do the renovation? The design was conceived in 2019 and the fit-out was completed in 2020.
How did you meet Javier? I first met Javier through the work he completed for a good friends home and since then Javier and I have worked on a number of projects over the last few years
What rooms were renovated? The whole fit-out was created from an empty concrete shell/retail space.
Fitout summary:
- 3 offices
- 6 workstations
- Kitchenette
- File storage and copy station
How long did the renovation take? The design took 4 weeks and construction took 3 -4 months to complete.
What were your expectations re: the joinery? For it to be completed to the design drawings provided.
Are you happy with the outcome? Absolutely.
Favourite joinery - and why?The curved elements on the timber panelled walls and workstations – they provide a softness to the space.
Would you recommend Javier and i space? Absolutely – as an interior designer, I have worked with Javier on a number of projects and we’re currently about to embark on another project together.
