What was the renovation brief? This was a bespoke development and i space completed the joinery for the lower apartment. The apartment was to feel luxurious whilst also being functional in its design and materiality.
When did you do the renovation? 2021
How did you meet Javier? Through my good friend Athalie, from Interiors by Thalie.
What projects have you worked on with Javier? We have only worked on one project so far with Javier, which is the Darlinghurst 02 apartment.
What rooms were renovated? The entire apartment.
How long did the renovation take? Nine months.
What were your expectations re: the joinery? We wanted a high-quality finish and understanding of our design, which was delivered.
Are you happy with the outcome? Absolutely! Javier and the Ispace team have been so great to work with.
Favourite joinery in the home - and why? Kitchen and Butler’s pantry. I love how this joinery wraps into the archway and continues into the butler’s pantry. The darker finishes mixed with the lighter joinery create a balanced yet moody space.
Would you recommend Javier and i space? Yes for sure. It has been a pleasure working with Javier.
